Western Hudson Valley Professional Horseman's Association
~Points in all divisions at participating shows will be awarded for each class as follows:
~1st-10pts, 2nd-6pts, 3rd-4pts, 4th-2pts, 5th-1pt, 6th-1/2pt
~Half points will be awarded in any restricted class in which there are two entries competing in the class, except leadline which needs only one rider. (restricted classes are mini stirrup, short stirrup, beginner rider, and pre-childrens). Only One filler per class, per division. Must be descrete.
~Rider must be signed up as a WHVPHA member before competing in classes for points to count.
~Only top 10 shows for each rider/horse will appear in the standing and count towards year end awards
~Points will be posted on the website bimonthly.
~***30 days after posting points, the points will become final and no point disputes will be considered. It is the exhibitor's responsibility to monitor the website and keep track of their own points! Unless there is an error in the program***
~Riders must compete in at least 3 shows to qualify for year-end qualifying show and top 10 awards.
~Once a rider moves up a division, they are no longer eligible to receive points in the lower division.

~Leadline: Open to riders 8 yrs and under, not to show in any other division or class where riders perform without a handler. Judged on equitation at both walk and trot.
~Equitation Mini Stirrup: Open to riders who have not cantered in a show. Last walk trot class to be for PHA points
~Beginner Rider: Open to all beginner type riders. Cantering to be done in single file or small groups. Trotting of crossrails is permitted. Height of crossrails not to exceed 18”.Cannot cross enter into any other jumping division. Last Crossrail class will be judged for PHA.
~Short/Long Stirrup: Open to all beginner type riders that have never shown 2’ or over May be split if entries warrant by age of rider, 12 yrs and under and 13 yrs and over.
~Pre Child/Adult Eq: Open to all riders that have not shown 2’ or over. May not cross enter into Children/Adult classes. Fences to be set at 2’.
~Equitation Classes: Open to all Junior or Adult riders. Top four riders will be tested if there is not a test included in the course. Class may be run in conjunction with another recognized class with the same specs.
~Short/Long Stirrup Hunter: Open to any rider. Short-under 12 years old, Long- 13 and over. May not have ever competed in any other division where fences exceed 18”.
~Pre-Child/Pre-Adult Hunter: Maybe split if entries warrant.To show over a course of fences not to exceed 2’. Open to Novice type riders who have never shown 2’ or over. May not cross enter into Children/Adult hunter classes. Trotting on course will not be penalized.
~Schooling Hunter: Open to all horses, ponies and riders with no restrictions. Fences not to exceed 2’3”
~Low Hunter: Open to all horses, ponies and riders with no restrictions. Fences not to exceed 2’6”
~High Hunter: Open to all horses, ponies and riders with no restrictions. Fences not to exceed 3’
~2’ Child/Adult Hunter: Open to all horses or ponies ridden by Amateur or Junior riders. Fences 2’.
~2’6” Child/Adult Hunter: Open to all horses or ponies ridden by Amateur or Junior riders. Fences 2’6".
~3’ Child/Adult Hunter: Open to all horses or ponies ridden by Amateur or Junior riders. Fences 3’.
~All Children and Adult hunter classes maybe combined at a horse show where there are less than three riders in each section. Section heights maybe combined or split by child/adult if entries warrant. Last jumping class will be judged as the PHA points and the last pleasure class be the PHA class.
~Itty Bitty Jumper: Open to all horses and ponies. Fence height not to exceed 2’3”.
~Low Training Jumper: Open to all horses or ponies. Fence height not to exceed 2’6”.
~High Schooling Jumper: Open to all horses and ponies. Fence height not to exceed 3'3".
~In all Jumper divisions, one class will be judged for PHA points and it will be run as a Table II Sec 2.b (jumper tables found in the USEF Rulebook)
